FUEL created this mobile application (“App”) for use by hotels, resorts, and vacation rental companies (“Property”) and their guests or potential guests (“Users”).
Any information stored on FUEL’s platform is treated as confidential. All information is stored securely and is accessed by authorized personnel only. FUEL implements and maintains appropriate technical, security and organizational measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and use, and against accidental loss, destruction, damage, theft or disclosure. FUEL cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security measures. You acknowledge that you provide your information at your own risk.
By downloading and using this App, you consent to the collection and use of your Personal Data as described herein. If you do not agree with the terms set out herein, please do not download or use the App.
FUEL may collect, record and analyze information of Users of this App. We may record your IP address and use cookies. FUEL may add information collected by way of App activity. Furthermore, FUEL may collect and process any Personal Data that you volunteer to us in our App’s forms, such as request forms, reservation bookings, and newsletter signup forms. If you provide FUEL with your social media details, FUEL may retrieve publicly available information about you from social media.
Such Personal Data may include your IP address, first and last name, full mailing address, email address, telephone number, data for social networks, and your areas of interest for example.
FUEL gathers data about usage of the App, including information such as the numbers of users, Geo-location data, length of time spent, and screens viewed.
Users should be aware that in booking a stay at a Property using the App, they could be disclosing information that could make them personally identifiable to Property agents and staff. The security and privacy protection implemented on the FUEL App and booking systems does not cover this type of transfer or disclosure of personal information.
FUEL uses the collected data to communicate with Users, to customize content for Users, and to improve the Users experience by analyzing how Users navigate the App.
FUEL may also share such information with a Property, service vendors or contractors in order to provide a requested service or transaction or in order to analyze the Users behavior on its App.
Cookies are small pieces of information sent by a website to a User’s hard disk. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. By continuing to use the App, you agree to the placement of cookies on your device. If you choose not to accept our cookies, we cannot guarantee that your experience will be as fulfilling as it would otherwise be. We may also place cookies from third parties for functional and marketing purposes. The use of cookies is widespread and benefits the User.
Please be aware that while using the App, Users can view content and follow links to other sites that are beyond our sphere of influence. FUEL is not responsible for the content or privacy policy of these other sites.
FUEL will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations. For User data, FUEL will have control for collecting data, and the duration for which the Personal Data may be kept. When a Property’s account is terminated or expired, all Personal Data collected through the platform will be deleted, as required by applicable law.
We assume that all Users of the FUEL App have carefully read this document and agree to its contents. If someone does not agree with this privacy policy, they should refrain from using our App or booking. We reserve the right to change our privacy policy as necessity dictates. Continued use and relationship with FUEL after having been informed of any such changes to these conditions implies acceptance of the revised privacy policy.
We will reveal a User’s personal information without his/her prior permission only when we have reason to believe that the disclosure of this information is required to establish the identity of, to contact or to initiate legal proceedings against a person or persons who are suspected of infringing rights or property belonging to FUEL or to others who could be harmed by the User’s activities or of persons who could (deliberately or otherwise) transgress upon these rights and property. We are permitted to disclose personal information when we have good reason to believe that this is legally required.
